Alba*
Origin: A New Fruits cultivar selected in Cesena (Italy).
Plant: Low environmental requirements, vital, very productive, resistant to low, winter temperatures.
Fruits: Large and uniform fruits with very attractive appearance and shiny red color, a conical and long shape, characterized by compact flesh and satisfying organoleptic properties, as well as long shelf life.
Harvest season: Very early season.
Application: This cultivar is very widespread both grown under shelter and in arable farming, it brings excellent results not only in the case of frigo plants, but also fresh seedlings or potted green plants.
Strengths: Early-season fruiting, guarantee of very high yield, very attractive fruits, high productivity, fruits have large sizes till the end of the harvest season, wonderful merchantability of fruits (long shelf life). This cultivar is resistant to root system diseases.
Weaknesses: The plant is prone to gnomonia (fungi) and it is characterized by slight susceptibility to mildew and anthracnose.
Cultivation area: This cultivar is adapted to the continental climate. It requires many hours of cold in the period of vegetation inactivity. This cultivar has a long passive period in winter.
Sales market: Supermarkets, direct sales, specialty stores.

Honeoye
Origin: An American cultivar (‘Vibrant’ x ‘Holiday’) showing high adaptability and therefore it is cultivated in many European countries, especially in Poland.
Plant: Characterized by a strong growth pattern, showing a not very compact, raised habit that facilitates harvesting. It displays high immunity to leaf diseases and resistance to frostbites, however, it is very sensitive to root system diseases and not very immune to powdery mildew.
Fruits: Average size with a low tendency to produce small fruit size. The fruit has a conical shape with a truncated top and it is narrowed at the calyx that constitutes the style. The epidermis has an intensive color from red to dark red in very ripe fruits, uniform on the entire surface with a strong shine. The flesh is light red, aromatic with an average flavor.
Harvest season: Early season.
Application: It is irreplaceable as one of the earliest dessert cultivars, eagerly bought by the food industry.
Strengths: Early fruiting, a fertile cultivar that shows an ability of clustered fruit ripening. It is very useful in accelerated cultivation in tunnels and on a field under low shelters. The fruits are firm, endure short storage and long-distance transportation well.
Weaknesses: It is sensitive to soil diseases, fruits are slightly attacked by gray mold.

Origin: A very early cultivar from Italy. (95.617.1 x Darselect)
Plant: shows a wide adaptive ability, customary plant growth
Fruit: Attractive and shiny with a very aromatic flavor, sweet, hard and durable. Conical with a low tendency to fineness. Fruit rich in vitamin C and folic acid.
Harvest period: Fruits at the same time as Honeoye.
